Topco Sales Prevails At United States Supreme CourtDate: Friday, October 09, 2009
Request for Glass Patent Appeal Declined by Highest Court in the Land Washington DC - The United States Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal presented by Know Mind Enterprises over a glass patent ruling. The appeal was dismissed with no comment. Know Mind Enterprises challenged the ruling of the Federal Circuit Court in April of 2009. In that case Topco Sales successfully defended a patent infringement lawsuit that claimed many Topco Sales' glass products violated a patent owned by Steven Ritchie and H. David Reynard, owners of Know Mind Enterprises. The Federal Circuit Court ruled that the owners of Know Mind Enterprises could not patent sex toys made out of borosilicate glass. Scott Tucker, CEO and President of Topco Sales states, "We're proud to have won our day in court and pleased the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear the appeal. We always felt this was a frivolous lawsuit." About Topco Sales For more information regarding sales and distribution, please contact us. |
